What's the importance of being Baptized?
The word "baptize" means "to immerse or dip under water." Water baptism by immersion is public display of obedience in following Christ's example for His baptism (Matthew 3:16). Baptism does not make you a believer – it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not "save" you – only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring – it's the outward symbol of the commitment that you have made in your heart. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8.
Are you ready for the journey?
If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ and ready to take this next step, please contact the church office.
Membership equals commitment. It's that simple.
If you’re ready to lock arms with us as we move the mission of Calvary Baptist Church forward, we’d love to start the conversation with you!
What is the first step?
At Calvary, we never ask our members to do more than the Bible teaches.
We only expect what the Bible expects every Christian to do. To find out
more about membership, please contact Pastor Darryl or attend the next
membership gathering. This is where you’ll find out about us, our beliefs
and why we do the things we do!
Membership is a door of opportunity. A door that leads to greater growth, identity and fulfillment. Membership strengthens the believer because, through membership, the individual becomes a part of a body. (1 Cor. 12:11-31)
